I charge £40 per hour and £270 per day. Payment by BACS is preferred.
A note about my fees
You might be wondering how my fees compare with other freelance copywriters. According to a 2018 survey by the Professional Copywriters’ Network, the average day rate for a freelance copywriter in the UK is £342, with some senior copywriters charging between £800 and £2000 per day. You’ll see, therefore, that my rates are well below average. (By way of comparison with other industries, business consultants charge £475 per day on average and junior solicitors charge at least £100 per hour, with many senior ones charging nearly £300).

The best thing to do is call or email me and I’ll start with a no-obligation, no-charge discussion about the likely fees. I will try to accommodate your budget and provide you with an estimate. I am also open to agreeing a fixed fee.
Payment terms
My payment and fee terms are set out in the terms and conditions. Fixed fees include submission of a first draft, amendments and rewrites and submission of a second draft.
Ongoing work and retainers
Some clients are interested in a more long-term relationship. You might want me to write a set number of blog posts, SEO articles, press releases or direct mail letters per month. If that is the case, please contact me and I can talk to you about an affordable monthly retainer.
